A great reason to celebrate during Independent Retailers Month!
It’s been twelve months since Follies first opened their pale green door onto Bridewell Alley. Follies have had a wonderful first year of trade, enjoying fantastic local support and have fast become one of the essential destinations on the Norwich Lanes for buying your vintage style home-wares & gifts.
On Friday 6th July, in celebration of their first birthday, Follies will be having a small soiree with all sorts of delights & treats.
The evening will include a special private viewing of works by Lucy Loveheart, exhibiting at Follies as part of the Norwich Lanes Art Trail. Lucy Loveheart – International artist, illustrator and designer has produced a wonderful range of paintings, prints, children’s books, giftware and fabrics, many of which have since become collectors items. Lucy has developed her distinctively naive style into highly sought after and recognisable products. We, for one, are huge fans.
There will also be another artist in situ on the evening – Georgie Matthews, a highly talented calligrapher & chalk lettering artist who also incidentally created the Follies’ logo and the sweet little illustrations they use on their packaging. Georgie will be producing an original & unique piece of chalk art in celebration of Follies first year throughout the evening – you’ll be able to watch her as she works, designing & completing an artwork in chalk which will then be on view for the Norwich Lanes Arts Trail as part of this year’s Norwich Lanes Summer Fayre.
There will also be a very special raffle, including lots of wonderful prizes & treats in aid of Stonham Women’s Refuge, a locally run charity which offer sanctuary and support to women fleeing domestic abuse.
