Cafes in Norwich

Our favourite Cafes and Coffee Shops in Norwich.

John Lewis Norwich

The John Lewis Norwich store was previously known as ‘Bonds’, a name under which it traded for 122 years. In-keeping with it’s long-established values such as quality, service and fair pricing, the store offers a great shopping experience over four floors from its central location and the reassurance of the Never Knowingly Undersold policy. Autumn 2011 saw a 'relaunch' of the shop after a 7 million pound upgrade was completed. Continue reading

The Refectory

Situated within the most impressive of all Norwich buildings, the 900+-year-old Norman Cathedral, The Refectory (meaning ‘Dining Hall’) is much more than simply an excellent place to grab coffee or lunch whilst in the City centre. Continue reading

intu Chapelfield

Cherryleaf Coffee House

Talc Café

Talc (short for ‘Tea & Little Cakes’) is a unique and interesting recent addition to Norwich’s vibrant café culture. Styling-wise, you’ll find a fusion of vintage themes alongside contemporary lines, which makes for a warm, inviting vibe that is also delightfully modern and funky. Food and drink-wise, talc is very cosmopolitan, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner (as well as Afternoon Tea) with a much later opening throughout the week than most comparable Cafes. Licensed, you can recover with a Bloody Mary and a BIG talc breakfast after the night before or relax with a glass of wine with your meal at lunchtime. Continue reading

Frank’s Bar

If we had to sum up the vibe at Frank's Bar, we'd say hip New York café meets Paris (artists quarter) brasserie, with just a tiny sprinkle of 1980s (the good bits). You'll love the food and the atmosphere will make you'll feel like you've come home. A rare find indeed. Continue reading

Bar Tapas

Bar Tapas, found upstairs above Brambles in Norwich City Centre, celebrates the philosophy and spirit of Spain and South America and specialises in a wide range of delicious tapas dishes. Notable highlights are the Beer battered Jalapenos Mozzarella fingers, homemade soup and Chilli dishes. The omelettes are also very popular. Bar Tapas is also one of a very few venues in Norwich to serve the refreshing Desperados tequila-flavoured beer. Continue reading

The Murderers Café Bar
