The Country’s oldest independent art house cinema, Cinema City is housed within and on the site of the elegant Suckling House and adjacent Stuart Hall in the historical heart of Norwich. Despite renovation and restoration through the ages, properties were recorded on the site as early as the 13th Century.
Cinema City reopened after extensive refurbishment in late 2007 and areas of Suckling House that were previously inaccessible to the general public, including a panelled room and vaulted bays, now provide the atmospheric setting for top quality, intimate dining.
For a truly memorable function or event, Cinema City is available to hire. You could even have your own private film screening with the film of your choice (which the cinema will arrange for you – ideal if a particular film has special meaning for you or your guests) or your own personal film or slides.
Cinema City can also weddings and receptions, company events (with branded information throughout the building and on the cinema screen), company workshop days (make a film together as a team-building exercise and screen it the same evening at your own ‘world premiere’), presentations, products launches and AGMs. Children’s parties with games, catering, treasure hunts and a favourite film on screen can also be arranged.
With the on-site stylish bar and restaurant, all events can include a restaurant meal or buffet.
The Dining Rooms restaurant, bar, conference room, panelled room to Screen 1 and the auditoria are available as combined or individual hires. Every projection format and full technical support is available to ensure your event runs smoothly.
How about an Oscars-style company outing or corporate awards ceremony with full ‘red carpet’ regalia? Sure to have your guests and colleagues talking for years to come!
