Talc Café

Talc (short for ‘Tea & Little Cakes’) is a unique and interesting recent addition to Norwich’s vibrant café culture.
Styling-wise, you’ll find a fusion of vintage themes alongside contemporary lines, which makes for a warm, inviting vibe that is also delightfully modern and funky.
Food and drink-wise, Talc is very cosmopolitan, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner (as well as Afternoon Tea) with a much later opening throughout the week than most comparable cafés. Licensed, you can recover with a Bloody Mary and a BIG Talc breakfast after the night before or relax with a glass of wine with your meal at lunchtime.
The menu includes delicious traditional English temptations such as scones, hearty breakfasts (including a Veggie breakfast), burgers and sandwiches alongside more exotic dishes that are obviously influenced by the owners’ Australasian origin. All food is handmade on the premises, overseen by Chef Jason who has some 20 years experience. There are plenty of veggie/vegan options, as well as gluten free choices.
Talc serves Teapigs Tea and Fair Trade Coffee, as well as a range of delicious locally sourced and organic soft drinks.
Phone orders are welcome and anything on the menu can be taken away.
Talc can be hired for small functions and children’s parties and Talc also offers an outside catering service – ask Bec for further details.
