Since November 2007, Café Parisien has been owned and operated by Greg Maillet, a French native with a fondness for Norfolk, who has worked as a Chef for 20 years and was trained in France. Along with his Wife, Jacqueline, they previously owned Byfords in Holt before returning to France to run a hotel and restaurant in the medieval village of Vouvant (images of Vouvant decorate the front restaurant of Café Parisien).

During the daytime, Café Parisien is the quintessential French brasserie with a laid-back, buzzing atmosphere. Baguettes, Galettes (savoury French-style pancakes), sweet and savoury Crepes and waffles are popular lunchtime dishes, alongside salads and sandwiches. Hot drinks and a variety of soft drinks are available and take-away is possible if you are pressed for time.

As evening beckons, Café Parisien transforms to become more fine-dining establishment than café, although the mood is still relaxed and unpretentious. To complete proceedings, choose from a formidable selection of wines, bottle beers and ciders, as well as some interesting aperitifs.

All food at Café Parisien is cooked to order from the freshest ingredients (locally sourced from approved suppliers wherever possible).
