In the heart of Norwich’s Tombland lies Mr Postles’ Apothecary, an emulation of a 1820’s Chemist with a modern twist. Opening their doors to the public in March 2015, this steam-punk styled bar and eatery is open 7 days a week with a late offering until 3am on Fridays and Saturdays.
Using ‘molecular mixology’ and theatrics never seen before in Norwich this experience is not to be missed. Not only do they serve an eclectic cocktail mix (the most popular being the ‘Meringue Martini’ and the ‘Cherry Bakewell’), but also a thirty strong bottled beer and craft ales list such as ‘Chimney Blue Trappist’ and ‘Crafty Dan 13 Guns’.
The food menu consists of traditional comfort food (again, often with a twist), all made from scratch from locally sourced ingredients. A notable delight on offer is the ‘Hanging Kebab’ with a choice of prawns, chicken, beef and halloumi, and a fruit and marshmallow offering in the desserts section. Mr Postles’ also offers any of their dishes on the menu in mini form for children at a reduced cost.
The venue has discounts and various ongoing offers. Visit Mr Postles’ Apothecary Norwich. for more information and online bookings.
Open Tuesday & Wednesday 12pm to 11pm, Thursday 12pm to Midnight, Friday 12pm to 2am, Saturday 12pm to 2:30am, Sunday 12pm to 11pm & Monday Closed.
