Multi-time winner of Norfolk’s Best Large Attraction (EDP Norfolk Tourism Awards), Pensthorpe Natural Park is a modern day nature reserve with a focus on inspiring the next generation to enjoy wildlife and the great outdoors.
Pensthorpe brings the beauty of the natural world together with 700 acres of beautiful lakes, woodland walks and four stunning gardens (including the Millennium Garden designed by renowned plantsman Piet Oudolf) that are home to an array of bird and wildlife species.
Our children absolutely love WildRootz – a huge outdoor adventure playground and Hootz House, an award winning indoor play area. Both are great for kids of all ages, including big kids that are young at heart!
Hop on the Pensthorpe Explorer (additional charge applies) and take a behind the scenes tour to discover the secret side of the Wensum Valley, enjoy delicious home cooked food in the Courtyard café (we highly recommend their Sunday lunch) and shop until you drop in one of North Norfolk’s largest shops (great for gifts).
Pensthorpe is a jam-packed natural day out, and one of our favourite places to visit in Norfolk. Our recommendation: get one of their great value annual passes and you can return as much as you like, all year long (Pensthorpe is one of the only really good family visitor attractions in Norfolk that’s open throughout the Winter).
