Well established as a part of the Norfolk golfing scene, Bawburgh Golf Club boasts an interesting and often challenging course that is sure to stretch and delight even the most talented golfer. Only minutes outside Norwich, with easy access from the A47 and A11, and set in over 120 acres of rolling heathland and parkland, the club prides itself on being accessible and welcoming.
Bawburgh’s 18th is an excellent closing hole and highly regarded throughout the County. A par 4 of 460 yards from the competition tees, it features out of bounds down the right hand side, bunkers down the left and a green that is guarded by a generous water feature.
In addition to the excellent golf, Bawburgh Golf Club has an active social side. The Scandinavian style clubhouse, Glen Lodge, offers both golf and social members an ideal setting for a spot of refreshment or a bite to eat (lunch is served daily and the Wednesday and Sunday Carverys are somewhat legendary). There is a regular programme of events throughout the year from BBQs and Quiz Nights to Summer Balls.
Membership to Bawburgh Golf Club runs from the 1st August although it is possible to join at anytime in the calendar year. There are many categories of membership that can be further broken down into different sections.
There is a floodlit driving range adjacent to Glen Lodge and a Golf Academy through which the resident PGA Professional provides specialist tuition for groups and individuals.
