By day, River Green Café is a lively, informal café, ideal for meeting friends and catching up or relaxing over an All Day Brunch from the ‘Easy Eating Menu’, or perhaps coffee and cake. The fresh fair-trade coffee is ground from a special River Green blend of organic beans.
Just 5 minutes drive or 10 minutes walk from Norwich City Centre, River Green Café’s philosophy is ‘Eat well… Love Life… Tread Lightly’. A wholly Veggie/Vegan establishment that is open to all comers, you’ll find no dull vegan or veggie stereotypes here.
Inside is tasteful and contemporary in style, with wood surfaces and easy-on-the-eye greens and nature tones. There are slight ‘boutique’ leanings (think huge black velour demi-circular sofa and a curvy black bar with an everso slightly 1920s air about it).
There is more than enough choice when it comes to hot and soft drinks, but if you fancy something slightly stronger, the bar is well stocked with a range of local real ales and organic wines. River Green Café aims to be more than simply a café, but moreover an active participant in the local, and wider, community. As well as holding fund raising events for local animal and environmental charities, River Green Café holds regular special events and themed evenings.
