With over 35 years of design expertise under his belt, it’s no coincidence that the furniture John Barnard creates is unique in both its ultra-high quality and inspirational style.
Part-artwork, always beautiful and yet impressively functional, John’s portfolio extends from tables, cabinets and chairs to full kitchens, garden and corporate furniture and even wood creations for places of worship. His modern and eco-friendly preference is to work with indigenous materials wherever possible while still ensuring that all materials used are of the highest quality. His range includes pieces that are inspired by Nelson’s flagship The Victory, including some that feature original oak from the famous ship.
In 1981, John was commissioned by the Norwich City Council to produce a gift to give to Prince Charles and Princess Diana from the City to mark their wedding. His elegant ‘Diana’ table was used regularly by the Wales’ (Princes William and Harry sat at it to do their homework) and is almost certainly still part of the Clarence House interior today.
