Situated on the platform of Wymondham Station, itself award-winning and of historical importance, the Station Bistro (formerly the Brief Encounter Restaurant) is a delightful place to stop for refreshments and so unique that it has to be experienced at least once.
The Station Bistro occupies a beautifully restored 19th Century station building. Inside, the walls are adorned with railwayana and black and white photographs that capture moments from a bygone era. Wonderfully nostalgic, everywhere you look there is something to capture your interest.
Enjoy a full cooked breakfast, lunch or mouth-watering homemade cakes and scones in either the newly refurbished Bistro Room or seats that wonderfully resemble the compartment in an old-fashioned train carriage, complete with luggage rack. Portions are hearty and there is something to suit all tastes, including vegetarians, children and those intolerant of gluten.
The Station Bistro at Wymondham Station offers the perfect setting to indulge in a spot of traditional Afternoon Tea. Delicious homemade scones in the most authentic of retro surroundings. Marvellous.
Station Bistro is also fully licensed so there is a good range of beers and wines to choose from.

Fabulous All day cooked Breakfast served everyday from 8.30am onwards (only up until 11am on Sundays) – just £6 with all the trimmings plus bottomless Tea / Coffee, toast or fried bread.
Main meals served from 11.30am onwards. Lunchtime offer Mon-Weds most popular main meals available at just £5 each (including lovely homemade savoury Beef Pattie, Traditional Local Sausages with Buttered Mash & Onion Gravy…).
Light snacks, homemade cakes, scones, sandwiches and desserts available all day.
Sunday Roast served 12Noon-3pm each Sunday. Sunday Roast is £8.95 (alternative main courses available).
